2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Both the 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid and the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid are competitive choices in the midsize family sedan segment. While on the surface they might seem relatively similar, the Honda Accord Hybrid offers a number of key advantages over the Toyota Camry Hybrid. Take a look for yourself:

  • Efficiency: When it comes to fuel economy, one of the primary priorities for anybody shopping this segment, you’ll find that the Honda Accord tops the Toyota Camry. When combined with an electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT), the Accord Hybrid earns 49 mpg city/47 mpg highway based on EPA estimates*. In comparison, the Toyota Camry Hybrid LE only earns an EPA estimated 42 mpg city/38 mpg highway with E-CVT*.
  • Power: The Camry Hybrid comes with a hybrid powertrain that generates a total combined output of 200 hp. The Accord Hybrid, on the other hand, makes more power with its hybrid powertrain, coming in at a combined 212 hp.
  • Safety:  Both of these vehicles provide impressive safety ratings, including an overall five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration*. However, the Honda Accord Hybrid comes standard with the Honda Sensing system. That package has a number of features that do not come standard on the Toyota Camry Hybrid, including adaptive cruise control, collision prevention braking, lane and road departure prevention, and more.
  • Features: Both of these vehicles come well equipped, but you’ll find more standard features in the new Honda Accord Hybrid. The Accord gets LED tail lights, front fog lights, 17” aluminum wheels, and a driver information center, while the Toyota doesn’t come with any of those standard features.
