The 2014 Honda Accord Price Makes For a Great Deal

If you’re looking for an affordable, well-equipped, midsize sedan, the 2014 Honda Accord is available now at Community Honda of Orland Park and is easily one of the 2014 Honda Accord Sedanbest-priced options in its class. With a set of standard features that has been breaking apart what automakers and drivers expect from an entry-level vehicle, the Accord has been winning over more and more drivers.

And at $21,955 (MSRP)* for the LX trim with manual transmission, the 2014 Honda Accord price alone is worth a closer look.

Discover the Accord for Yourself

We said that the standard features of the new Honda models were redefining the paradigm, and that’s no exaggeration. Take a look at what comes included on every Accord LX from the ground up:

  • Bluetooth HandsFreeLink—Sync your smartphone with your car for handsfree phone calls and audio streaming.
  • Honda’s i-MID infotainment system—With an 8-inch touchscreen interface, you can control your technology with ease from Honda’s exclusive i-MID.
  • Steering wheel-mounted controls—Stay connected while keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.
  • Built-in rearview camera system—Tired of guessing that you’re clear when backing up or parallel parking? This will help.

In addition to Pandora internet radio and SMS texting, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Under the hood, the 2014 Accord has the option of either a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine rated at 185 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. While that’s enough for most drivers, if you’re looking for more, Honda offers a 3.5L V6. Upgrading to the V6 engine brings your power up to 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque!

And whichever engine you choose, you’ll have a great fuel efficiency:

The 2014 Accord LX with continuously variable transmission gets an EPA-estimated 36 mpg on the highway, while the Accord V6 with a six-speed automatic gets an EPA-estimated 34 mpg on the highway.**

The 2014 Honda Civic Si Price Announced!

One of the biggest fears we’ve found among our drivers is that a performance-tuned vehicle like the 2014 Honda Civic Si might be out of their price range, but that could 2014_honda_civic_si_coupe_03-600-600-001honestly not be further from the truth.

Embodying the affordability of the 2014 Honda Civic, the Si just takes it to the next level and gives you an affordable and stylish sedan or coupe that’s ready to hit the track just as easily as the highway.

Breaking Down the Civic Si

The 2014 Civic Si Coupe is going to start at $23,580 (MSRP), while if you’re looking at the four-door sedan take on the Civic Si, it will start at $23,780. Whichever one you decide belongs in your garage, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a 205 hp 2.4L four-cylinder under the hood that’s good for 174 lb-ft of torque, with power and torque both rising from the already impressive 2013 models. Each is paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

A revised suspension with new dampers, higher spring rates, and a stiff rear stabilizer are all part of Honda’s plan to give you better handling behind the wheel.

The changes keep coming as you get into the driver’s seat too, with black and red color schemes for the seating, a faux carbon fiber finish on the audio panel, a touchscreen infotainment system, and optional features like a navigation system. And then there’s the new HondaLink app, which gives you features both in and out of the Civic Si.

While there are the obvious differences between the Sedan and Coupe builds, we think that once you move beyond them, the most interesting to us are the wheels—you’ll get 17-inch alloy wheels on the Coupe and 18-inch alloy wheels on the Sedan. Whichever one you choose, though, we think you’ll be pleased with your new Civic.

Test Drive the Civic Si Today

The 2014 Civic Si Coupe is available now at Community Honda of Orland Park, and the Si Sedan will be available on March 26. Contact us today to find out how you can get some quality time behind the wheel of either of these performance-tuned Civics. We can’t wait to see you.

What Will We See in Future Honda Hybrids?

First introduced back in 1999, the Honda Insight beat the Toyota Prius as the first hybrid car to hit the American marketplace. The Insight has run for two generations, 2014 Honda Insight 800and Honda has recently announced the hybrid hatchback will be discontinued after the 2014 Honda Insight. This begs the questions, what’s the future of Honda hybrids?

The Honda CR-Z and the Honda Civic Hybrid

Besides the Insight, Honda also produces the Honda CR-Z sport hybrid and the Honda Civic Hybrid, which is now in its third generation. Honda put out a 2014 CR-Z and just released the 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid last month.

According to Honda, there are no plans to alter the production of both vehicles. They’re safe for now, but both feature Honda’s older mild hybrid system. Changes seem fairly imminent now that Honda has a new full-hybrid system in place for the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid.

The Future According to the Accord

Honda says they’re firmly committed to their hybrid lineup and vow to bring more. The future of Honda hybrids seems to be along the lines of what they’re doing with the all-new 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid. These models introduced a full-hybrid, two-motor system and are competing in the already well-established midsize sedan hybrid class. Honda has also said this won’t be the only vehicle to use the system.

Currently the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid is still gaining in traction. Not many vehicles have been released, though production in Ohio is rapidly accelerating. The 2014 Honda Accord Plug-In is imported from Japan.

Honda certainly has plenty of competition. The midsize hybrid segment was started by Toyota about seven years ago with their Camry Hybrid. Ford also has their Fusion Hybrid and recently Hyundai and Kia entered the field.
