2013 Honda Fit EV

The 2013 Honda Fit EV is an all-electric version of the automaker’s beloved Fit hatchback. Like its gas-powered counterpart, which is quite popular here at Community Honda in Orland Park, it offers a shockingly spacious and versatile interior, agile handling, and a compact frame — except that the Fit EV eliminates the need to stop at the gasp ump. Unfortunately, the Fit EV is only available in limited markets at this time, but as you’ll see in this comparison against its hybrid competitor the 2013 Chevrolet Volt, Honda’s all-electric model is worth traveling for.

The Fit EV Comes Out on Top

Let’s be frank: the 2013 Chevrolet Volt is a good vehicle, but it has a hard time standing up to Honda’s all-electric hatchback. Let’s take a look at why the Fit EV bests the competition:

  • While it’s a hybrid, the 2013 Chevrolet Volt can only travel up to 38 miles on all-electric power. The 2013 Honda Fit EV can travel up to 82 miles on a single charge* — and you’ll never have to stop at a gas station.
  • The Fit EV also proves itself in the area of interior comfort, offering seating for five and reclining rear seats. The Volt can only seat up to four, and its rear seats don’t recline. Honda’s all-electric vehicle also has rear heat vents, another comfort feature that the Volt lacks.
  • The 2013 Fit EV comes with front and rear stabilizer bars, helping drivers maintain control while taking corners — the 2013 Volt isn’t available with a rear stabilizer bar. On a similar note, the Fit EV offers a tighter turning circle than the Volt (34.3 feet vs. 36 feet)
